“John was traveling on his motorcycle when the at-fault driver pulled out of a convenience store driveway directly into his path. He crashed and sustained devastating injuries to his left shoulder and suffered serious and painful skin abrasions and scrapes, commonly referred to as “road rash”, resulting in permanent scarring. John was admitted to the hospital, where he underwent surgery on his shoulder,” explained Philpot.

Soon after the accident, Philpot worked diligently to ensure his client received the justice and compensation he deserved. Critical to the case, Philpot worked tirelessly and persistently to secure video footage of the accident from the convenience store. Securing the video footage was a game changer. The video discredited the at-fault driver and the version of the accident she alleged to the investigating police officer. Additionally, the video provided evidence of her reckless conduct in causing the collision resulting in John’s injuries, damages and his inability to work and earn a living. Unfortunately, as is often the case, the at-fault driver had minimum limits liability insurance coverage of $25,000 bodily injury and $25,000 property damage.

Weeks passed, and the insurance company failed to reasonably respond to the time limit demand of $50,000. With Philpot’s knowledge and expertise a lawsuit was filed to secure a $750,000 settlement for John, instead of the initial $50,000 time limit demand. Soon after, John was awarded a $750,000 settlement.
