Philpot, III (Irv) joined his father followed by Elizabeth Philpot (Liz), and then Eric Philpot. With the three siblings working together to serve the Upstate alongside their father, the Philpot Law Firm quickly became a name and family that people could trust. In 2017, Irv’s son, I. H. Philpot, IV (Bo), rounded out the firm as a third-generation attorney. With each Philpot that has joined the firm, it has been a natural progression to follow in Henry’s footsteps and two more of his grandchildren may soon follow that same path.

Generations of Experience

Irv started practicing law in 1987 and has spent over three decades specializing in Worker’s Compensation and on the job injuries. In 1996, Liz joined after spending a few years in personal injury defense litigation. She offers a unique perspective in handling complex injury cases. Two years later in 1998, Eric joined his family at the firm following some time clerking for a circuit court judge. He has been handling personal injury litigation for over 20 years now! After graduating from the Charleston School of Law, Bo joined his grandfather, father, uncle, and aunt at the firm and is now licensed to practice in all South Carolina and North Carolina state and federal courts.
