Seeing as it is a new year, we thought we would take a moment to introduce our attorneys! The Philpot Law Firm is first and foremost, a family. Literally! Founded in 1990, our firm spans three generations of Upstate natives. I. Henry Philpot, Jr. was joined by his two sons and daughter, Irvin H. Philpot, III (Irv), Eric Philpot, and Elizabeth Philpot (Liz) not long after starting the firm. Rounding out the third generation is Irv’s son and Henry’s grandson, I. H. Philpot, IV (Bo), who joined in 2017.

A Family Business

Irv started practicing law in 1987 and has spent over 3 decades specializing in Workers’ Compensation and on the job injuries. Liz joined the firm in 1996 after a few years of personal injury defense litigation. She offers a unique perspective in handling complex personal injury cases. Following his siblings, Eric joined the law firm two years later in 1998 after spending some time clerking for a circuit court judge. Eric has been handling personal injury litigation for over 20 years! Bo came onto the practice in 2017 after graduating from the Charleston School of Law and is licensed to practice in all South Carolina and North Carolina state and federal courts.

The Philpot family has been in Greenville for three generations. This is more than just a place they live and work, it’s a community they serve in.
