Two injured in I-85 crash in Greenville County

Anyone in Greenville County that is injured in a car accident as a result of someone else's negligence is entitled to compensation under personal injury law. This compensation will cover medical expenses or lost wages as a result of personal injury. Personal injury claims are likely after a major Greenville County accident backed up Monday morning rush hour for nearly 10 miles.

Highway Patrol received the accident report at approximately 7:20 a.m. on Interstate 85 southbound just before Interstate 385. It is not known how many vehicles were involved, or what series of events lead to the major crash. The Boiling Springs Fire Department reported at least two injuries, one was reported as a minor injury and the other involved lower extremity injuries.

By 8:15 a.m., the crash scene was serious enough to have backed up traffic in Greenville County for at least seven miles up to the Brockman-McClimon exit. Within the hour, the car crash wreckage and backup had been cleared. At the time the accident was reported to press, it was not stated whether charges had been filed.

In many car accident investigation processes, charges can take months to be filed as the process of accident deconstruction and evidence gathering can be lengthy. If negligence by a driver is found in this car crash, those injured may be entitled to personal injury compensation. Even injuries that are reported as minor at the time can lead to more serious injury that can impact the quality of life for an individual involved in a car accident.
